Philanthropy in the Community
Our employees' and members' philanthropy in the community is demonstrated through personal involvement and monetary support of many essential campaigns for charity. Our internal volunteer program, H.E.R.O. (Honoring Employees Reaching Out) encourages staff to take time away from work to participate in events that help those less fortunate. US Federal's support for these programs is given annually through over 500 hours of volunteerism, $35,000 in charitable giving, over 4,000 pounds in food shelf donations, and life-saving blood donations potentially saving over 120 lives - and the numbers grow every single year.
