US Federal Credit Union encourages personal and professional development from the first day an employee joins our team. From new employee orientation to management development, US Federal provides many opportunities to learn new skills and pursue career objectives. Empowering employees to grow professionally motivates the employee to provide exceptional service and experience that the credit union strives for, resulting in member confidence, trust, satisfaction and loyalty.
New Employee Orientation
To support becoming acquainted with the philosophy and values of USFCU as well as the benefits and opportunities provided, all new employees are included in our new employee orientation program on or shortly after their hire date.
Learning and Development Center
The courses through this online channel of learning are designed to enhance core skills and product knowledge while promoting independent professional growth. There are two basic components to the Learning and Development Center. This system personalizes self study online courses to the individual making this form of learning empowering to the individual. Additionally, Institution Courses are often customized to support corporate goals, initiatives and compliance regulations unique to US Federal. This style of learning promotes corporate communication and end user accountabilities.
Certification Programs
Certification programs are geared to develop employees in the basic functions of a position such as information concerning US Federal CU, general product knowledge, policies & procedures and compliance. The employee is certified upon completion of the program focusing on providing quality service while developing member relationships and promoting USFCU as their preferred financial institution.
Weekly Training Opportunities
Branch offices are closed for one hour every Wednesday morning during which all employees have the opportunities to work to refine skills or learn more about the credit union, products and services or upcoming enhancements. These are great opportunities for both personal and professional growth.
BEST University
Building Excellence in Skills and Technology University includes core studies such as business writing or communication skills to quality service and leadership development. The opportunities through BEST U are designed to meet a variety of learning preferences and include group sessions, one on one mentoring, self study, guest speakers and computer based learning.
