Opening an account is easy. We've even made switching to US Federal a cinch with our online switch kit.
INDIVIDUAL
You are eligible for US Federal products and services if you:
- live, work, worship, volunteer or attend school in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties or in the city of Northfield or its surrounding communities.
- or - - have an immediate family member (spouse, children, siblings, parents, grandparents, stepparents, stepchildren, stepsiblings, or adoptive relationships) who qualifies according to the above categories.
Membership

Return all required forms and deposits (check or money order only - payable to US Federal Credit Union) to a branch location or via mail.
- Completed Membership Application*
*If there will be more than 2 owners on the membership, please complete the Legal/Joint Owner Account Agreement in addition to the Membership Application. - $5 minimum deposit to open a Share Savings Account (required)
- $20 minimum deposit to open a Checking Account (if applicable)
- Copy of your current government-issued ID**
Your application can usually be processed the same day it is received.
*We will fill in your Member Number on the application. This number will be on your membership card which will be mailed to you with a deposit receipt and any other materials you request. **Current identification is required. If the address is not current, a paystub, copy of lease agreement, or utility bill with your name and current address is required.
Savings
A Share Savings account is automatically opened for you upon membership and is withdrawn when membership is closed.

Starting a business may not be easy, but opening a business account with US Federal is. Your business is eligible for US Federal's business products and services if:
- your corporate address is located in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Ramsey, Scott, and Washington Counties or in the city of Northfield or its surrounding communities.
- or - - all owners of the business must be eligible for individual membership with US Federal Credit Union.
Membership
Return all required forms and deposits (check or money order only - payable to US Federal Credit Union) to a branch location or via mail.

- Completed Resolution of Authority (if applicable)
- $5 minimum deposit to open a Share Savings Account (required)
- $100 minimum deposit to open a Checking Account (if applicable)
- Copies of current government-issued ID for each authorized user
- Copies of all necessary government-filed paperwork:
- Sole proprietorship*: Certificate of assumed name with proof of publication
- Partnership*: Partnership Agreement, Articles of Organization (LLP only), Certificate of Organization (LLP only), Statement of Qualification (LLP only), Certificate of assumed name with proof of publication (if applicable)
- Limited liability company*: Articles of Organization, Certificate of Organization
- Corporation*: Articles of Incorporation, Certificate of Incorporation
- Non-profit organization**: 501(c)(3)
