US Federal Credit Union Hits the Field with Prior Lake Kindergarteners
BURNSVILLE – US Federal Credit Union (USFCU) once again supported the Prior Lake’s Edgewood Kindergarten Center and Westwood Elementary School’s Kindergarten classes’ Track and Field Day. This year, the students’ big event took place on Thursday, June 3rd at Ponds Park in Prior Lake.

US Federal Credit Union Employees 'Lose' to Win Weight-Loss Challenge
BURNSVILLE – US Federal Credit Union (USFCU) employees spent this spring participating in "The 92-Day Challenge", sponsored and organized by a sub-set of the USFCU Safety and Wellness Committee. The appropriately-titled competition ran for 92 days and challenged the 72 participating employees (just shy of 40% of all USFCU employees) to improve their health by losing weight and developing more healthy habits. Teams of 4, including a captain, worked together to encourage one another in achieving their goals.

US Federal Credit Union Helps Youth Get in the Savings Game
BURNSVILLE – US Federal Credit Union (USFCU) helped area youth start saving by taking part in National Credit Union Youth Week in April. The annual Credit Union National Association-sponsored event encourages youth to begin establishing a relationship with their local credit union. It is a great way for youth to see firsthand the advantages of credit union membership, while also presenting an opportunity to begin setting goals for future financial success like saving for college. Although the event is scheduled for only one week, USFCU expanded the event to span the entire month of April. During the month-long event, 732 youth made deposits, 140 new youth accounts were opened, and $306,746 were deposited by youth.

US Federal Credit Union Campaign Helps Stack Up for MN FoodShare
BURNSVILLE – US Federal Credit Union (USFCU) has once again surpassed their MN FoodShare goal with outstanding contributions of food and monetary donations in 2010 for food shelves in the community. During the March-long campaign, USFCU collected a total of 11,330.30 dollars/pounds – an impressive feat for the organization’s 200 employees. The final score was comprised of an astounding $5,801.83 and 5,528.47 pounds of food.

This free event will be held on Saturday, April 24th from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the USFCU Corporate Office in Burnsville (1400 Riverwood Drive), next to the Burnsville Bowl.

US Federal Credit Union Shows Love for Children’s Miracle Network
BURNSVILLE – Over the last few months, US Federal Credit Union (USFCU) has participated in two major fundraisers in an effort to raise money for Children’s Miracle Network (CMN) and Credit Union for Kids (CUFK). Through sales of Happenings books and hearts and links for the credit union-wide ‘Chain of Hearts’ campaign, USFCU helped raise over $3,400 for these necessary youth-focused programs.

BURNSVILLE – US Federal Credit Union (USFCU) President/CEO Bill Raker was elected Chairman of the Credit Union Service Centers Network, Inc. (CUSCNI) Board of Directors last month. CO-OP Shared Branching and Financial Service Centers Cooperative (FSCC) work together through CUSCNI to offer credit union members the ability to utilize credit union services around the globe. By working cooperatively, members gain a more consistent experience with shared branching.

BURNSVILLE – US Federal Credit Union (USFCU) recently welcomed Reyna Staats to the position as Branch Manager for the Eastside Financial Center branch in St. Paul. The Eastside Financial Center is a unique collaboration between USFCU and Lutheran Social Services of Minnesota (LSS) bringing sound financial services, counseling and education to this underserved eastside community.
